The Castine family has owned 7 acres of the Rupert countryside since the 1960s, which consists of mostly farmland and is affectionately called ‘camp.’ Camp has been the site of many gatherings over the years, including the annual Memorial Day Pig Roast. A wedding here would be a first for the family, and we are excited to create even more cherished memories here by hosting ours!

A small rural town in Bennington County, Rupert boasts a population of ~600 people. It is known for its rolling farmland and quiet Green Mountain scenery. Chartered in 1761 , Rupert was originally settled by farmers drawn to its fertile valley and access to regional trade routes between Vermont and New York. Today, Rupert retains much of its historic character, with preserved colonial-era buildings, scenic backroads, and a strong sense of New England heritage.
